Award-winning ocean yacht master and founder of Girls for Sail, Annie O’Sullivan, spoke at two Network My Club events in January! First at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton for the Network Hampshire Business Club, then the following week at Fratton Park in Portsmouth for the Network Pompey Business Club. Annie spoke about her career from the boardroom – having held Director positions at Debenhams, Mothercare, and La Senza – to her first (of 11!) sails across the Atlantic. During her first crossing with Ellen MacArthur – who she says changed her life – she set up her first business, Girls For Sail. Since its formation, the sailing school has taken hundreds of women to the water. Annie adopts a ‘Praise Ethic’ approach to her coaching, stating the importance of encouraging others in order to create a positive, productive and proactive culture – something we can all apply to business. As well as running her coaching programmes, she works alongside many charities and is a proud mentor for The Magenta Project. Contact Annie to find out more! Thank you to our resident photographer, Steve Phyall (ZOOMING Photography) for the excellent images from the Network Hampshire Business Club event. Check out the full album here.
