Former Brighton & Hove Albion FC team doctor, Dr Tim Stevenson, joined us at the Amex Stadium in Brighton for the Network Albion Business Club networking breakfast!

Following graduation from university, Tim quickly developed an interest in sports medicine and took an opportunity to join Brighton & Hove Albion FC, initially as a crowd doctor at the Goldstone Ground. When the club were forced to leave the Goldstone and play home games 75 miles away at Gillingham FC’s Priestfield Stadium, the Albion’s first team medical staff left and Tim made the step up to become official team club doctor in 1994, a position he held for 17 years. Tim spoke about the innovative changes that he and his team implemented to sports medicine at club, which had a clear impact on players’ performance and heavily aided the club’s successes on the pitch.

After leaving Brighton & Hove Albion, Tim helped set up medical provision for the inaugural Brighton Marathon, worked with Virgin Atlantic as Chief Medical Officer, helped Easyjet’s pilots with improving their mindsets after the Germanwings disaster, and started his own company, The Healthy Company. Find out more about Tim’s company.
