In our first Online Meetups with #NetworkAlbion members this week, we were given the A, B, C, D method anyone can apply to their marketing, how to make home-working the norm, what to do if you have a holiday booked in 2020 and much more!

The session provided each attendee – on a one-by-one basis – the opportunity to talk about their businesses, share who their ideal client is, a success story, insightful industry tip and give us a fun fact about themselves.

Who is your ideal client/referrer? Usually SME’s with 5-100 employees facing staff issues or need help with day-to-day advisory, claims, redundancies and re-structures. 90% of my time at the moment is assisting businesses where cash flow has shortened.

What’s your industry tip? Take advice, think through things properly and focus long-term not short-term!

What’s a fun fact about you? I’m really trying to step up my running while at home hoping it’ll keep me sane and healthy!

Who is your ideal client/referrer? SME’s across all sectors with a can-do approach and have mindset that we will come through this.

What’s your industry tip? Don’t panic, plan it. Cash flow is key – look where money is going out and check if there’s things that you don’t need anymore. Don’t make rash decisions!

Who is your ideal client/referrer? Anyone that has business premises that pays their water bill. We can offer help and advice to everybody!

What’s your industry tip? Anyone in the country that is closing offices/shops/premises, complete a temporary closure form. Find the form and more top tips here.

What’s a fun fact about you? I’m studying towards a degree in organisational psychology. Highly recommend a book called: ‘The Happiness Advantage’.

Who is your ideal client/referrer? At the moment we’re working a lot with the Financial Services sector as it’s important for them to communicate effectively. Aside from that business loans/funding, professional services, alternative education are all great.

What’s your industry tip? Keep working. Resilience will be key throughout. If you are home-working, keep to a schedule!

What’s a fun fact about you? I recently went 65 days completely dry and discovered that I don’t really enjoy drinking that much!

What’s your industry tip? May seem obvious, but this is going to shift how people work. Teach yourself how to be self starting at home and put time and effort into this being the norm!

What’s your industry tip? Making sure that you are compliant is key. A lot of people are looking at your website, so make sure it’s all up to date and legally sound.

What’s a fun fact about you? I’m a Season ticket holder at Brighton & Hove Albion! I also once played in the Junior FA Cup Final at the old Wembley Stadium.

What’s your industry tip? Facebook ads are fantastic as you can target by refined specifics on a smaller budget. To prove this, Adidas moved all their offline budget into online.

Who is your ideal client/referrer?  Directors of service based companies are usually good. Anyone working in web services, marketing companies, to trades.

What’s your industry tip? HMRC and the Government are making positive announcements, but don’t have the infrastructure built yet. If you can be patient, the grants will take a couple of weeks. Any financial aid you take, remember you’ll have to pay back.

What’s a fun fact about you? I sing in a rock band!

What’s your industry tip? Lender knowledge – be in contact and share best thoughts.

What’s a fun fact about you? Try and play football as much as much as my knees allow me!

Who is your ideal client/referrer? Anyone with a pension, this can be people that have worked in several different companies or a business owner.

What’s your industry tip? If you have worked in different companies, pension funds in different accounts can close or change, meaning your pension pot isn’t growing as much as it could be. You can also access your pension a lot sooner than they think!

What’s a fun fact about you? I’m a big Brighton & Hove Albion fan and follow England away as much as I can.

Who is your ideal client/referrer? Any established business – usually with 5+ employees – that are looking to sell either B2B or B2C products. I do a lot of work with financial services, insurance, IT services, property, accountants and even garden designers!

What’s your industry tip? Focus on your SEO! Your competitors might not be doing any marketing at the moment so make sure you are! Keep your message going, try new things and – if you can – invest some time and money.

What’s a fun fact about you? I love to cook!

Who is your ideal client/referrer? Pretty much anyone that wants a holiday that doesn’t have the time to research and plan.

What’s your industry tip? If you know someone that has a holiday booked, please don’t cancel it. The holiday industry can’t cope with it! Where you can, amend the holiday and defer it to 2021. I’ve found that airlines/operators are waiving fees.

What’s a fun fact about you? For 10 months I worked on a maternity ward!
