British racing driver, Charlie Martin, joined over 120 businesses at the Amex Stadium for the November Network Albion Business Club networking breakfast!

Charlie’s story is one of sheer determination, perseverance and bravery. Aged 23, having purchased her first racing car, the dream of becoming a racing car driver began. However, 6 years later Charlie reached a breaking point, she had completely lost connection with her identity and made the courageous decision to start a life-changing transition. In fear of how she would be perceived in the motorsport world, Charlie quit the sport she adored. Fuelled by the support of her peers, a year after quitting, Charlie returned and never looked back. She now hopes to become the first transgender driver to race in the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Aside from racing, Charlie is a Stonewall Sports Champion, Mermaids patron and inspirational speaker with aims to help companies improve their D&I/trans awareness through telling her incredible story. Interested in supporting Charlie’s journey? Find out more here.
