One of the most important questions anyone considering a networking group should ask is simple: who actually attends?

Because the people in the room ultimately determine the value you get from being there.

Over the years, we’ve learned this lesson firsthand.

When Network My Club first started, the approach was to open the doors as widely as possible.

The thinking was that the more people in the room, the better.

But what we discovered was that when you have a wide mix of seniority levels, business stages, and objectives, alignment becomes harder.

Conversations can be positive, but they don’t always lead anywhere meaningful.

As the community has evolved, we’ve become far more intentional about who attends and who benefits most.

Director and decision-maker level

The majority of people who attend Network My Club are business owners, directors, or senior decision-makers.

This allows conversations to move beyond surface level and into meaningful opportunities and partnerships.

Established businesses, typically with 5 to 25 staff

From a company size perspective, our core sweet spot tends to be businesses with around 5 to 25 employees.

These are typically established companies that are looking to grow and invest in growing through relationships.

That said, we do also attract companies on both the larger and smaller size.

Predominantly professional services and B2B service providers

Most members operate within professional services and B2B sectors such as accountancy, finance, legal, IT, marketing, and consulting, alongside a range of complementary service providers.

People who understand networking is a long-term investment

Perhaps the most important characteristic is mindset.

The people who get the most from Network My Club understand that networking is a long-term investment in relationships rather than a quick transaction.

That it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

It’s this approach that leads to our events being ones where sales pitches are left at the door and everyone has an open mind, not knowing who someone may know or how they could help.

In summary

Network My Club is best suited to business owners, directors, and senior leaders of established businesses who value meaningful relationships and take a long-term approach to networking.
